Job Announcements

Water and Light Foreperson – The City of Evansville is accepting applications for the position of a water and electric utility foreperson within the Municipal Services Department. This is a full-time position which is responsible for general management, leadership and in depth knowledge of the operations of electric and water utilities.  The position is expected to be 30% in the office and 70% in the shop or field. Applicants must be a journeyman lineman with the ability to lead a department of 5 lineman and 2 water operators. 

This position offers a competitive package with $38.00 and $42.00 an hour wage, full benefits, a focus on quality of life, and continued education within all of our positions.

Patrol Officer – The City of Evansville, Evansville Police Department. Applications are now being accepted to create an eligibility list for anticipated full and part-time police officer vacancies. Once approved by the Evansville Police Commission, the eligibility list shall be good for a period of up to six (6) months. Complete application materials must be received by US Mail or via email no later than 5:00PM on April 30th 2020. No applications will be accepted in person. Incomplete or late application materials shall disqualify a candidate.

The Common Council of the City of Evansville currently has one (1) Council member seat open in District #1 due to resignation and one (1) Council member seat vacating in District #3 on May 15th, 2020. In an effort to move forward with a full eight (8) member council, it has been determined that the vacant seats will be filled by appointment in accordance with WI State Statutes.
